It’s a mixed bag of a game, but if you fancy braving the controversy surrounding it, you can download it for free.
Oftentimes we talk about Steam delivering excellent bargains that make the platform one of the best for PC gaming.

Vigor, by Bohemia Interactive, has a string of negative reviews to its name on Valve’s gaming platform.
Although some players have found parts of it enjoyable, the vast majority are unimpressed with the experience.
Do you have what it takes to play Vigor?
Perhaps this is why Steam has quietly made it a free game...?

“Join the game that has been played by over 20 million players and explore the harsh and unforgiving Outlands, the shattered remains of what was once Norway [...] The landscape of the Outlands is as deadly as it is beautiful, so be careful out there.”
If you didn’t know any better, Vigor sounds like the kind of game Fallout fans would enjoy.
Yet, from what we can see in the comments, enjoyment is hard to find.
“Rough around the edges, and the sides and the core of it,” described Steam user Defaultgun. It’s just one of many negative posts.

However, there are some who deem this game worthy; they’re few and far between, but they do exist.
User KURKnation said, “Pretty fun to play, expected something way worse because of the reviews, but the game's pretty solid.”
If you’re willing to risk it – and why wouldn’t you when it’s free? - you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.
Should that not be the case, there are plenty of other free games to check out. Right now, Steam has added 14 new freebies to its library, just in time for the weekend.
