The Steam store is packed full of video games that you can try across many genres but it can be quite the challenge to pick out what’s good from that proverbial needle in a haystack.
Thankfully, I’ve picked out six PC RPGs from the many that Steam has to offer, so hopefully, with a bit of luck, at least one of the free demos below will tickle your fancy - and perhaps the standout game from the selection is Visions of Mana from Square Enix.
Check out the Visions of Mana announce trailer below!
Here are six RPGs that you can sample for free this weekend:
- Visions of Mana: “Visions of Mana is a brand new title in this series revolving around the sacred sword and mana. The protagonist Val and his childhood friend Hinna, the newly appointed Alm of Fire, set off on a journey to the Mana Tree.”
- Octopath Traveller II: “In this faraway realm, eight travellers hailing from different regions venture forth for their own reasons. Step into their shoes and explore the land as you see fit, using their unique talents to aid you along your journey.”
- Dragon Ball Z Kakarot: “Relive the story of Goku and other Z Fighters in Dragon Ball Z Kakarot! Beyond the epic battles, experience life in the Dragon Ball Z world as you fight, fish, eat, and train with Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and others.”
- Rift of the NecroDancer “is a rhythm game where monsters are the notes you play! Master each monster’s unique movements in pulse-pounding Rhythm Rifts from easy to expert, all set to an original, electrifying soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky and friends.”
- Final Fantasy XVI: “An epic dark fantasy where fates are decided by mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the tale of Clive Rosfield, a tragic warrior who swears revenge on the Dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity that leaves naught but calamity in its wake.”
- Mandragora: “Slash, burn, and rage your way through Mandragora, a 2.5D side-scroller action RPG with deep Metroidvania and Soulslike elements. Explore a decaying world, hone your talents with a branching Talent Tree, and craft epic gear.”
Of course, if any of the games above are not your cup of tea, then there are plenty of other games to check out on Steam.
