Who would have thought that the worlds of Stardew Valley and Assassin’s Creed would ever collide? Well, at least unofficially, anyway.
It’s fair to say that Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed is a very different game to the indie darling of 2016, Stardew Valley. For starters and the most part, Assassin’s Creed is an open-world action game whereas Stardew Valley is a cute farming sim.

So what is this game that brings the best of Stardew Valley and Assassin’s Creed, I hear you ask? That very game is an indie title, Tinkerlands: A Shipwrecked Adventure. Developed by CodeManu and Endless Coffee, Tinkerlands: A Shipwrecked Adventure is an open-world survival/crafting game that you can play for free right now.

“A Shipwrecked Adventure is a free prologue immersing you into the vast world of Tinkerlands,” reads the description on the Steam store. “Uncover the story of the first survivors on these mystical islands and explore the breathtaking archipelago, craft essential tools, build your settlement, and strive to survive!”
Judging by the gameplay trailer for Tinkerlands: A Shipwrecked Adventure, you can see its Stardew Valley inspiration mixed with the pirate shenanigans of Assassin’s Creed: IV: Black Flag.
In terms of minimum PC specifications, Tinkerlands: A Shipwrecked Adventure is not a demanding game at all, requiring a Windows 7 operating system (or later), an Intel Core 2 Duo (or equivalent) processor, a GeForce 7600 GS graphics card (or equivalent) and just 250MB of hard drive space. So with a bit of luck, Tinkerlands: A Shipwrecked Adventure will run on just about any modern PC system.
At this time a release date hasn't been announced for the full version of Tinkerlands: A Shipwrecked Adventure but hopefully, that announcement will be made soon. In the meantime be sure to wishlist the game on Steam to be notified of its full launch.
