Skyrim fans in love with massive new open-world RPG you can play now

Skyrim fans in love with massive new open-world RPG you can play now

We're all spinning on our axis over this one

Few games will ever top Skyrim; warts and all, it’s a brilliant experience.

That said, we’re always on the lookout for open-world RPGs that scratch that itch we have for fantastical adventures.

One new release that’s captured the hearts of gamers is The Axis Unseen.

What will you discover in the Axis Unseen...?

Having launched on 22 October, the Just Purkey Games’ outing has made an impression, both good and bad.

But few games launch nowadays without criticism from all sides. Consequently, don’t be perturbed just because of a few reviews are negative.

The Axis Unseen is a “heavy metal horror game” born from the mind of a former Skyrim and Fallout developer.

In this newly created world, players “hunt nightmarish monsters from ancient folklore in a mysterious open world, collecting their enhanced sense powers and discovering elemental arrows.”

Those who’ve already experienced its mysticism are hooked.

“As someone who has spent over 100 hours playtesting The Axis Unseen, I highly recommend this game especially if you are a big fan of metal, folklore, skulls and just anything alternative in general.

“The amount of content you will find in this game is truly impressive especially for having been developed mostly by one person,” reads one review.

Another post, this time from Steam user Reeses Screeches, reads, “The Axis Unseen is an impressive indie survival horror game with massive, eerie landscapes and no HUD or map, which makes you rely on landmarks to navigate.”

They added, “The game keeps you questioning what’s happening, pushing you to explore and uncover its mysteries.”

Plenty of people recommend this game.

Sure it can be “rough around the edges”, but for saying most of it was created by one individual, it’s pretty impressive what’s been achieved.

Although the free demo is no longer available, there’s a current discount on the final price for the full game.
