It will be your job to make a home in the mountains, take on bandits, discover dastardly plots, build a farm, develop your town and of course, make friends with the locals.
“Cattle Country straddles the saddle of cozy wholesome gaming and action-adventure,” the Steam synopsis reads.
“Serving up hours of the slice-of-life you’d expect on the frontier – including mining, fishing, crafting, and farming – along with deep-rooted Wild West Quests delivering stories of romance, cattle drives, bandits, and robberies.”
With all the best features of Red Dead Redemption packed into a quaint little farming sim, this combines the two genres in a title we can all get behind.

As you build your own slice of heaven under the blue skies of Cattle Country, you will work from sunup to sundown as you till the fields, raise your cattle and of course, build and craft your homestead as you go.
When you’re not getting covered in mud, you will have to keep an eye out for bandits who threaten to take over your home but don’t worry, the friends you have made along the way will turn up to help and you can finish off the day with a steamy romance.
Much like Stardew, the mines are also a treasure trove of valuable items, so grab your pickaxe and get mining and maybe even discover the bandit’s stashes.
Cattle Country will see you become part of a story that is as old as the hills so if you want to try it out, it’s free to do so right now!
