Crafting while trying to stay alive might not sound like a fun pastime to many, but you’re not most people. You’re a gamer. For us, the rules are slightly different.
When someone creates a game that blends Minecraft with Fallout, we immediately want to know more. If that game is free to play on Steam? Well, even better!
STALCRAFT: X is an open world experience filled with all manner of enemies, such a mutants and “anomalies”.

“Unforgettable experiences are guaranteed”, so sayeth the developers. From what we’ve seen from the reviews, a lot of players are in agreement there.
On Steam, the game has a “mostly positive” rating. As far as one fan is concerned, STALCRAFT: X is what would happen if Minecraft and Stalker “had a baby”.
A more detailed review reads, “Deceptively fun game due to the Minecraft graphics. Really surprised at how in-depth everything is,”
It continues, “Since they fixed the battle matching, I have not seen any issues with PVP at all. The story missions have been fun and overall, a very fun game.”

There are plenty more community posts to read if you want to thoroughly research the game before you try it. However, as it’s free to play, none of that really feels necessary. Even if you dislike the game, it doesn’t matter – you got it for free!
PC players, as so often is the case, have the advantage over Mac users as STALCRAFT: X only appears to support Windows systems. Considering the game launched in 2022, we doubt Mac support is coming any time soon.
Still, if you have the right hardware, and fancy facing Fallout-esque monsters while exploring, this is the game for you.
