There’s a game on Steam right now that contains the best of Hogwarts Legacy and Stardew Valley, and you can try it for free right now.
As we approach the end of the year, it’s good to look back on all the great games that were released over 2024, and look ahead to what’s coming in 2025 like GTA VI, Monster Hunter Wilds and Ghost of Yōtei.
See the teaser trailer for Ghost of Yōtei below in case you missed it earlier this year.
The AAA releases on the horizon are great but there are also some solid indie games on the way too, one of which combines the magical mystery of Hogwarts Legacy with the laid-back gameplay of Stardew Valley.

It’s called Crescent County and it’s on Steam right now courtesy of a free demo, though you’ll have to wait for the full release.
The game’s description reads: “Crash headfirst into this witch-tech open world, drifting and driving on the back of your new motorbroom. Make deliveries, trick out your broom, and race your new friends (and crushes) as the sun sets. Decorate your flat, sort your life out, and discover what it means to find home."
It looks quite lovely, with lots of ways to customise your character and home but you’ll of course need to run a few errands to get the finances required.
The art style is gorgeous too. I don’t know what exactly I like about it but it just gives me a really warm and cosy vibe - it’s very appealing on the eyes.

If you’re interested in giving it a go, there’s a demo to play now, but there’s no telling when the full game will be made available, only that it’ll probably be some time next year.
Crescent County is well-worth a try, especially if you’re a fan of more relaxed games to unwind with after a long working day.
