Our love of magic knows no bounds, which is why an upcoming Steam game has got us reaching for our wand.
We keep it close to hand anyway, but since we finished Hogwarts Legacy, it’s been lovingly on display waiting for when it’ll be needed again. It seems that time is almost upon us, as a new Steam game is taking us right back into the whimsical world of magic one spell at a time.
Although taking place in a completely unrelated and separate wizarding world, Potions: A Curious Tale is a game where you’ll be able to test your mental fortitude against tricky puzzles, learn invaluable coming of age lessons as you interact with the locals, and think fast during unavoidable battles.

Are you ready to become a witch in Potions: A Curious Tale?
This promising indie game is currently available for free for you to try for yourselves, thanks to its handy little demo, with the full release planned for Q1 2024 (so not long). Due keep in mind, though, that users on macOS 10.15 Catalina or above won’t be able to access the game without the use of a PC or Microsoft emulator.
Hogwarts Legacy has spawned no end of similar themed titles, like one adorable offering that combines all the joys of Stardew Valley in this free little number. With so many ways to learn the art of potion crafting and spells, there’s really no reason to get left behind by your fellow witches and wizards.

If you’re interested in helping Luna figure out life now that she’s coming of age, Potions: A Curious Tale is the only way to do it. Plus, Lunda will introduce you to a world of magic you didn’t know existed, which you can consider a thank you for your help with her tales of adventure and woe.
Potions: A Curious Tale will launch on Steam later this year, with the devs hopefully they’ll eventually release it on the Switch.
