What if we could play a game that could blend two popular RPGs such as Fallout and Valheim into one fun game, that sounds like an awesome prospect, right?
For different reasons, the Fallout series and Valheim are quite different RPGs, well at least for the mainline Fallout series. For example, the likes of Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4 are single-player games set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland inspired by decades of a bygone era.

If anything, perhaps Valheim shares a little more in common with Fallout 76 given that it's an online multiplayer RPG with survival and crafting elements. So in that respect, Valheim and Fallout 76 share quite a bit in common but Valheim has a distinct Norse mythology theme.

So what is the RPG that blends the worlds of Fallout and Valheim, I hear you ask? The game in question is the indie title IfSunSets developed and published by Korean studio Polymorph, and it’s free to download and play right now.
“IfSunSets is an adventure RPG/ survival game,” reads the description via its Steam store page. “During the daytime, get supplies for survival all over the island but at night, you will encounter strong and dreadful monsters tracking you down.”
At the time of writing, IfSunSets is only announced for PC and not consoles, and it does not have a release date but it is currently scheduled to be released at some point later this year. In the meantime, we can check out its free playable demo via the Steam store.
Judging by its gameplay trailer, IfSunSets at least looks like it might be fun to play. Hopefully, when the full game is eventually released, it lives up to that potential, whether that potential is achieved or not, remains to be seen.
