If sci-fi is your preferred genre, this upcoming RPG is a wonderful combination of two popular games.
As much as we enjoy returning to the wastelands of Fallout, there’s only so much we can do before we’ve seen it all.
Sure, you can download and play huge new expansions, but eventually there comes a point when you need something different.

Arguably, No Man’s Sky fits that brief perfectly.
Launch into a new adventure with Far Horizon
However, we come to the same problem we have with Fallout – once you’ve done everything currently available, you may begin to tire of its environments regardless of how gorgeous they look.

If you find yourself in such a predicament, a new Steam sci-fi RPG could be just the ticket to get you out of your gaming slump.
Scheduled to launch this year, Far Horizon is “an action-adventure RPG” that flings you into the “far reaches of space”.
There you’ll discover “floating islands, beautiful vistas, and alien creatures”.
Your journey begins when a search and rescue mission goes awry, with you suddenly marooned in the middle of nowhere.

To survive, you’ll need to tinker and craft, as well as explore stunning alien landscapes.
Not to sound like a broken record, but it really does sound like Fallout and No Man’s Sky had a baby, so to speak.
"Prepare for an enthralling journey where you'll encounter puzzles to solve, treacherous cave systems to explore, and engaging conversations with your AI companion.”
This promising PC title comes from two developers; two brothers, in fact.

As detailed on Far Horizon’s Steam page, this is a “passion project” born out of a "shared dream".
Who knew getting stranded in the recesses of space could be so wholesome...!
As previously mentioned, there's no specific date of launch, only that it’s Q3 2024. That said, you can add the game to your wishlist if you’re eager to get stuck in upon its release.
