There’s another mod you need to download for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and it’s honestly the complete package.

Skyrim mods are a dime a dozen and while they’re not always bangers or simply make the most minute changes sometimes they’re an overhaul that must be seen to be believed.

One can only imagine what the modding scene is going to look like for The Elder Scrolls VI, which you can see below

The mod we’re chatting about today is called Apostasy- A Modern Skyrim Modlist and it does exactly what it says on the tin, providing a list of mods that brings the game up to modern-day standards.

Not that Skyrim hasn’t aged well, thanks to several re-releases from Bethesda, the mod just touches up a few things in both the visuals and gameplay.

For starters the graphics have received a boost, with the world looking more realistic than ever provided you’ve got a good PC and monitor to truly reap the rewards of the mod list.

However the most substantial changes come with the gameplay improvements, as the RPG has been tweaked in numerous ways to offer a more complex gaming experience, in a good way of course.

The modpack adds just about everything you’d want in terms of new content, new quests, weapons, companions, more drip, and loads of stability fixes for a smoother overall game experience.

The combat in Skyrim, while decent, is very one-note so a variety of mods have been added to give it a bit more depth, and make you actually enjoy fighting bandits and trolls rather than feel like you’re just going through the motions.

You can find the full list of improvements, as well as the minimum and recommended PC requirements to make sure all of it just works on the mod’s official page.

It’s definitely one to check out, especially if you’ve been craving more variety for your umpteenth Skyrim playthrough.
