There are so many situations we didn’t have down on our 2023 bingo cards – like Red Dead Redemption 2’s Arthur Morgan actor roasting the ‘Florida Joker’ over their complaints about the GTA 6 trailer.

We doubt you’ve already missed the news that the ‘Florida Joker’ is unhappy with their likeness being used, but just in case you need a refresh, here’s the lowdown. When the GTA 6 trailer dropped, it became clear that Rockstar Games had been inspired by the colourful character, with the person in question taking to TikTok to respond and highlight all these similarities.

What else can you spot parodied in the GTA 6 trailer?

This then escalated to Lawrence Sullivan, aka the ‘Florida Joker’, demanding Rockstar pay them millions of dollars because of said parody. A bold move, and one that seems highly questionable considering it could be argued that Sullivan took inspiration from DC’s The Joker – are they going to pay DC for using that likeness? We doubt it.

Needless to say, it isn’t only fans unimpressed by the move, with RDR 2’s Arthur Morgan going on TikTok to tell Sullivan his crusade is misplaced. “No, you don’t, you don’t need to talk to them,” Roger Clark began, “They’re [Rockstar] not going to talk to you. They’ve had people like you trying to sue them for decades – they are loaded up, man. They know exactly what they can and cannot get away with.”

Clark then added, “If I were you, I would use the notoriety that they just threw your way to my advantage. Capitalise on it somehow. You ain’t getting a job at Home Depot with that face.” Definitely not mincing his words there, eh?

If you wanted to watch the TikTok for yourself, we’re sad to say that it’s currently unavailable, seemingly removed either by Clark or TikTok itself (we’re guessing the former). However, while the video has gone, the words it said live on for us to all enjoy with a bowl of popcorn.
