Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar Games’ best game to date, so it’s inevitable that a third game is on the cards, just not for a very long time.
While Rockstar Games is yet to confirm or deny plans to produce Red Dead Redemption 3 it’d arguably be the sensible thing to do once GTA VI launches, though I’m sure fans wouldn’t mind the developers revisiting other series’ like Bully again.
GTA VI is set to launch sometime next year, as Rockstar’s most advanced game to date
Discussions on the next Red Dead Redemption game have already begun with fans, after all there are those who aren’t keen on the Grand Theft Auto titles and prefer the Wild West games instead.

Something they’re talking about a lot though is when we can expect to see it, and taking a look at the replies to a Reddit thread by LizardGamesss, it’s clear no one is expecting it soon.
In reply to what people are expecting from the next game, one fan predicted that “it'll take twenty years and five billion dollars at the rate game development costs are inflating.”
It’s said GTA VI is one of the most expensive media products of all-time right now, and while it’ll more than likely make a profit from initial sales and microtransactions it says a lot about the future of new-gen video games.
Another prediction is the “main protagonist dies and it won't be released until the 2030s. It might even be a launch title for PS7.”

One of the funniest replies though said whenever Red Dead Redemption 3 does roll around it probably “won't come out on PC at launch.”
With GTA VI launching in 2025, and knowing how long it takes Rockstar Games to produce new titles, it’s more than likely we won’t see another Red Dead Redemption game until the 2030s, unless it’s a remaster of a previous title.
