Red Dead Redemption 2 houses a secret area underneath Saint Denis, and it’s worth checking out if you haven’t found it already.

Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games ever made for a reason, because there’s just so damn much of it.

You can go through several playthroughs and still not see everything it has to offer, so it’s always exciting when another player shares a discovery you may not have known about.

The one we’re talking about today can be found in Saint Denis, an in-game location that houses plenty of other secrets including an actual vampire you can bump into at night.

Near the Cornwall Freight Yard you’ll find a mysterious tunnel that isn’t tied to any story or side missions, it’s just there and not really explained what it’s for.

That is if you didn’t pre-order the game when it first came out, as apparently this tunnel is where you’ll find the second clue in the Le Tresor Des Morts treasure hunt, not accessible via regular versions of the game.

Other players have weighed in on what the historical purpose of the tunnel is, with many suggesting it’s some kind of smuggler tunnel, which must make sense given how hidden away it is.

One player commented on how even several years after the game’s launch “we’re still finding new stuff like this.”

Of course the term new is subjective as some players will probably have found this tunnel in their playthroughs, but I know many will have walked past or over it many times and not thought to take a closer look.

Another player closed things out by describing Red Dead Redemption 2 as “outstanding” in all of its little details.
