Red Dead Redemption 2 ‘amazing’ fan-made expansion available now

In need of some more Red Dead Redemption 2? This incredible fan-made expansion is blowing players away.

It’s been nearly five years now since Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on the scene and blew us all away. Some people move on. But not us. Never us.

While Rockstar Games has made it painfully clear it doesn’t intend to bring any new content to Red Dead Redemption 2, we don’t actually need them. By which I of course mean Rockstar Games is an incredibly talented company and we absolutely need them to make once-in-a-generation single-player experiences. We just don’t need them to keep Red Dead Redemption 2 alive.

Take a look at the best Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below!

There’s a plethora of mods that greatly expand and enhance the Western’s experience. Some add whole new missions, while others bring in entirely new features that completely change the game. One of the more popular creations from recent years adds almost 50 unique characters to the game, and brings in some much-needed representation as a result.

Shared on the r/reddeadredemption2 subreddit, user HenriettasChicken wrote: “I worked for two weeks non-stop and made a Native American mod with nearly 50 unique characters for you dear RDR2 players. Available on Nexus. Have fun.”

Fans have been quick to heap praise on the modder’s hard work. “Hey this is BEAUTIFUL! Whoa!” one user commented. “As someone who has been playing [Red Dead Online] as a Native character since day one this is awesome work!” another wrote.

“This looks amazing! I always wanted to play as a Native American in a video game since I was a kid,” added another.

If you want to check out this gorgeous piece of work, you can download it for free here. It’s worth noting that this is only available for PC gamers, obviously. We can’t even get 60fps for Red Dead Redemption 2 on console, I fear asking for mod support might cause Rockstar to explode.
