Red Dead Redemption 2 players have been informed of a secret story interaction that they probably missed.

It’s no secret that Red Dead Redemption 2 is Rockstar Games’ most impressive game to date, boasting one of the most life-like worlds we’ve ever seen and technical details that other developers could only dream of replicating.

It’ll be surpassed by GTA VI obviously but five years after its release it’s still a marvel in the gaming community.

That said there are still secrets players haven’t found yet, and Rockstar Games developer has shared one that they believe 99% of players will have missed in their playthroughs.

Former Rockstar Games designer Ben Hincliffe who left the company in 2022 recently spoke about how certain story missions can tie into Arthur Morgan’s sense of pacifism.

It’s easy to forget that Arthur doesn’t really want to live a life of crime and death, making it ironic when the player guns down a town or places a kidnapped NPC on some railroad tracks.

For those who want to preserve Arthur’s honour though there’s a mission where you must steal a wagon, typically done by shooting the ones driving it and taking it for yourself.

Hinchcliffe says there’s another way though, saying "if you don't ambush it on the bridge where you're told to, and you follow it along the road for quite some time, it'll end up at a bandit camp."

The wagon will then be left unattended, and you can steal it without any bloodshed provided you’re not caught.

Small details like this are abundant in Red Dead Redemption 2, which is why it’s still praised to this day as one of the most in-depth video game worlds going.

One can only imagine what GTA VI’s open-world will be like, and just how many secrets there’ll be to uncover.
