Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players, in certain countries, are being given a free Pokémon this month as a special treat, it’s a cute one too.
I don’t know if this is a hot take or not nowadays but Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are damn good Pokémon games, and while they’re not as good as the DS titles they did more than enough to warrant a purchase.
Now we wait for the next game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the teaser of which can be found below
We don’t know when Pokémon Legends: Z-A is coming apart from sometime in 2025, nor do we know what it’ll look like or if it’ll be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2, but fans are hoping for quite a few improvements in graphics and gameplay.

While you wait though there are still plenty of goodies left in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as players are being given a free Pokémon as part of a new special distribution event in certain countries.
This is only available for fans in Japan, Taiwan and Singapore, and involves a free Tandemaus given to you on your birthday.
If you haven’t seen a Tandemaus before, it’s one of those weird ones that’s more than one entity but counts as a single Pokémon, like Dugtrio.
Tandemaus are two adorable mouse-like creatures joined by the tail, and when it evolves it turns into a family of four, adorable.

The one being given to players will boast a special birthday ribbon, and will know a unique move other Tandemaus don’t usually have.
Unfortunately if you don’t live in Japan, Taiwan and Singapore you won’t be eligible for this free giveaway, but if you keep your eyes peeled there’s usually some sort of live update to get you back in the game, like the Tera Raids.
