Uncharted fans united over Nathan Drake's replacement for next game

I just want a new Uncharted game!

Fans of the Uncharted series are pretty united over a vote as to who should be Nathan Drake’s replacement in the next game.

Not including the fantastic 2017 spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or the remastered collection, it’s been nearly a whole decade since we’ve had a brand new Uncharted game from the developers of The Last of Us, Naughty Dog.

The last new game in the mainline series was Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in 2016 on the PlayStation 4, and it’s becoming increasingly more likely that we’re not getting a new entry in this console generation. Unless Naughty Dog drops something out of nowhere.

With that in mind, Uncharted fans have been voting on who should be the lead character, should we ever get a fifth mainline entry in the series. However, in the choices to vote, Nathan and Elena’s daughter, Cassie, has been excluded for whatever reason.

“If Nathan Drake isn't the main character in Uncharted 5, who would you want to take his spot?” asked Redditor 0dqir0. “Personally, I'd like to play as Elena out of all of them.”

The choices were Elena Fisher, Victor Sullivan, Samuel Drake, Charlie Cutter, Nadine Ross and Chloe Frazer.

Out of the six choices, Nathan Drake’s older brother, Samuel, was the standout winner with over 1,400 votes. Victor Sullivan was in second place with 916, and Chloe Frazer was in third with 861.

“Where’s Francis Drake?” joked Cleosor in response, with Jargon02 adding, “The ultimate prequel.”

“Cassie goes and revisits some of the old lost places due to coordinates left behind by her parents,” suggested SithLawdy. “Uncle Sam, obsessed with seeing them, becomes her Sully.”

“A Sully spin-off prequel during the late 80s,” said Lego_Revan with Jargon02 replying, “I would totally be down for a young Sully story!”

Hopefully, Naughty Dog will announce Uncharted 5 one day, but it might be too busy with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and perhaps even The Last of Us Part III.

If that day ever comes and Uncharted 5 is announced, we’ll be sure to update you when that happens.
