The Last Of Us Part III still feels like a world away at this point, but its release window may have been leaked ahead of time.
PlayStation’s first-party exclusives are the reason you’d buy one of the consoles, but then again some of the supposed features of the PlayStation 6 sound like it’ll do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to player’s deciding if they want one or not.
The games are where it’s at though, and the PlayStation 5 has had some incredible ones like Astro Bot.
There are plenty of great games on the way like Ghost Of Yōtei, but I think a large portion of PlayStation fans just want The Last Of Us Part III, even more so when the new season of the TV series is on the way.

Fans have been discussing when the next game in the series might drop, and believe realistically it has to be “before 2030 at least".
Discussing the matter further one fan said, "My gut says 2027, but I have no reason why. I’m hoping sooner, though!”
Another said it’ll all depend on what other projects Naughty Dog is working on at the moment, as any new IP would obviously get in the way of the next game’s release date.
“Depends on what ND's next game is. Part 3? Maybe 2026. New IP? Then Part 3 will be a PS6 title, so like 2030 at the absolute earliest.”

That said, there’s no guarantee the next Last Of Us game is being made with the PlayStation 6 in mind, after all The Last Of Us Part II launched on the PlayStation 4, before both games got upgraded versions for the following console.
That means we could, in theory, get The Last Of Us Part 3 before the Playstation 5 starts to lose support, but then it’d be pretty clear there’d be an upgraded PlayStation 6 version on the cards.
After all, the TV show surely won't overtake the game series ... at least that's what I'm hoping.
