Time for a new game to play

PlayStation is gifting everyone the chance to play something new this week and you don’t even need PlayStation Plus to get your hands on it.

After the runaway success of Rise of the Ronin, PlayStation has decided that everyone should have a chance to try it, that’s why you can now download a trial right now, for free.

For more open world exploration you should check out the Elden Ring DLC

The PlayStation 5 exclusive came out earlier this year to decent reviews and acclaim from players though since its release it has flown under the radar of a lot of users.

This trial, which gives you access to the full first chapter of the game, will allow you to try it out for yourself and see what the fuss was all about.

It’s likely a PC port is in the works as Sony is being very proactive about shipping their games over to the format, but for now the only way to experience Rise of the Ronin is via PlayStation 5.

In our review from March this year, we said, “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t moved by the overall experience. Rise of the Ronin becomes equal parts compelling and moreish.”

With various modes of traversal, a huge world to explore, and some tight combat, Rise of the Ronin offers a great experience delivered by the talented folk at Team Ninja.

The open world of Japan is often gorgeous and filled with things to do, people to meet, and the usual distractions you’d find in a game like this.

Being able to recruit NPCs to aid you on your quests is a nice feature and you’ll certainly grow to love a select few of them.

The best thing about this trial is your progress will transfer over to the full game should you enjoy your time and decide to buy it.
