With so many games on offer with Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service, it can be a little overwhelming trying to pick the best from the bunch, especially if we’re looking for something new to play.
While the basic tier, PS Plus Essential, offers online multiplayer, a selection of monthly games to add to your library as well as exclusive discounts and DLC, the upper two tiers, Extra and Premium, offer hundreds of games at our disposal. Both of the upper two tiers also come with everything included in PS Plus Essential and more.

This week, Sony announced its latest additions to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, and it looks to be a solid month for subscribers. In total, the new offerings bring 13 free games to play along with the three additions previously announced for PS Plus Essential which were made available earlier this month.

One of the standout games included in PS Plus Extra and Premium this month is the 2023 action RPG developed by Gunfire Games, Remnant II. This challenging game “pits survivors of humanity against new deadly creatures and god-like bosses across terrifying worlds. Play solo or co-op with two other friends to explore the depths of the unknown to stop an evil from destroying reality itself.”
Gamers on Reddit were keen to share praise for the inclusion of Remnant II which is powered by Unreal Engine 5 with Flottrooster saying “Really exciting! I've been wanting to play it."
“Excited for Remnant II and Bannerlord,” exclaimed another.
“Remnant II is a solid get,” replied walshurmouthout on the thread. “Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion, Remnant II and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters are massive wins, one of the best months in a long time,” rejoiced ShaneTVZ.
