There are plenty of fun games to play regardless of the PlayStation Plus tier that you subscribe to but the indie title that is the topic of this article is one that you should consider checking out.
Granted, the higher the tier that you subscribe to, the more games that you’ll have on offer. For example, PS Plus Essential offers online multiplier, exclusive perks, discounts and usually a selection of three new games to add to your library each month.
Check out the Dave the Diver trailer below!
Whereas PS Plus Extra has everything included in the Essential tier but with the addition of a lot more PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games to choose from.

Yet with so many games on offer, it can feel a little overwhelming choosing what game to play next from the ever-expanding list. However, some Reddit gamers have thrown some names into the hat.
“Which games do you love that you would never have played if they weren’t on PS Plus?” asked Redditor Xorro175, before listing some PlayStation recommendations including God of War, Days Gone, Returnal and more.
One of the games mentioned by a member of the thread was a recent indie darling developed by Mintrocket, Dave the Diver. In our Nintendo Switch review of Dave the Diver, we said: “The game’s central loop of exploration and fishing in the day followed by an evening of restauranteering makes it perfectly suited to Nintendo’s handheld as a cosy pick-up-and-play game.” The game has since gone on to launch the well-received PlayStation port before us.
“Dave the Diver,” replied Kanha158 to which CircusBearPants responded, “I just beat this game and it’s just perfect. It’s challenging without being stressful. Just eyeball relaxation with occasional WTF moments.”

The thread wasn't short of even more positive words for the charming indie game. “Dave the Diver hooked me so much that I lost interest in my Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough and didn’t touch it for over a month because any game time went to Dave,” said grzlybearnredglasses.
Dave the Diver is out now on PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. At the time of writing, there is no Xbox release, yet.
