This free PlayStation Plus game is quite possibly one of the best games ever made, which is handy considering how absolutely massive its map is.
Have you ever been playing Skyrim and thought to yourself, “Y’know, this game is good and all, but I wish the map was six times bigger"?
Firstly, if that resonates with you, how much free time do you have? But more importantly, you may want to check out one of the latest PlayStation Plus bangers.
Fans may have already clocked exactly which game I’m referring to already, because I am, of course, talking about Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Alright, but is this game really more than six times the size of Skyrim? There’s no way that’s true, right?
Apparently, it is. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag’s map clocks in at roughly 235 square kilometres (according to several sources). And, according to GameRant's Charles Burgar, Skyrim's map is roughly 37 square kilometres.
In case you really want me to do all the maths for you here, 37 goes into 235 just over 6.3 times, so yeah– Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag really is more than six times the size of Skyrim.
Now that doesn’t actually mean it’ll take you six times the amount of time to complete Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, as map size isn’t the same as map density.

Plus, y’know, you have a boat in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Makes things a little bit quicker to traverse. Although that’s almost a shame, considering how hard the sea shanties slap.
Anyway, the game is currently up for grabs for free on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, provided you have an active subscription for either PlayStation Plus Extra or Ubisoft+ Classics.
If you have somehow not managed to get around to playing this one, now is the time. There’s a good reason why folks say this is the best Assassin’s Creed game ever made.
