PlayStation Plus users can now take advantage of the latest related PlayStation Stars campaign, although this is one of the first to land since the rewards programme made a number of controversial changes.
PlayStation Stars users will no longer earn rewards points on the purchase of PlayStation Plus subscriptions, which is a shame as that always gave my points balance a mighty boost.
There’s also now a redemption expiry date on points.

Perhaps the most controversial change of all, however, has been the removal of free store credit as a reward for the vast majority of users.
Previously, users would be able to exchange 1,250 points for £5 of credit.
Most are now instead seeing no credit offered at all, while a select few users worldwide are saying they can only redeem points for credit if they reach $15 worth.
For many of us though, we’re now simply left with the option to either spend our Stars points on full games or digital collectibles.

Take a look at Stellar Blade in action below.

Let’s hope Sony opens up soon about its plan for PlayStation Stars.
