PlayStation gamers have been pleasantly surprised with a free PS5 upgrade for anyone who claimed one of the PlayStation Plus games.
The PlayStation 4 will be 12 years old later this year, and if anyone hasn’t upgraded to a PlayStation 5 by now they probably should, if they’re able to of course.
Speaking of upgrades, the Nintendo Switch 2 looks great but that exclusive FromSoftware game looks suspiciously similar to Bloodborne…
If you’re looking for extra incentive to upgrade your PlayStation console is there one better than a free game?

Apparently Black Desert: Traveler Edition will soon be getting a PlayStation 5 version, and when it does, the PlayStation 4 version will no longer be available to download or to play.
Many PlayStation owners claimed Black Desert: Traveler Edition when it was made one of the PlayStation Plus Essential games, meaning they could now lose access.
Fortunately, there's a workaround, as anyone who owns the game either through a purchase or claiming it via PlayStation Plus will be entitled to a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version, pretty generous.
This includes your save data and any additional purchases made for the game after claiming; it'll all be there.

“So the folks that claimed it through PS Plus get the free upgrade? I'm excited to try the new version, the PS4 one looked really blurry and awful,” said one subscriber in response to the news.
“So uuuh... Does this mean Fallout 76, Final Fantasy 14 and Elder Scrolls Online are next?” asked another, going on to say, “This exact thing is happening to the First Descendant as well. Makes me wonder if they will force it for these ones.”
If you already own a PlayStation 5, then you’ve got nothing to worry about; your version will just automatically update, happy days.
