PlayStation Plus free games lineup for December 2024 already looking rocky

PlayStation Plus free games lineup for December 2024 already looking rocky

Could be a rough month for subscribers

The arrival of brand-new games to the PlayStation Plus service unfortunately means the departure of others.

However, one helpful Reddit user over on r/PlayStationPlus has us covered once more by giving us a rundown on what games we can expect to see leave over the holiday month.

Make sure you grab Monster Hunter: Rise before it leaves the PS Plus service!

Before that, yesterday saw PlayStation announce which new games would be added to the Plus library for the month of November.

From a racing game to a video game inspired by a much-loved anime, November is a fairly decent month for subscribers.

However, it seems as though December will be saying goodbye to quite a few popular entries and Reddit user kayrakaanonline has an idea of which ones they will be.

Luckily, there are not any newly added games that will be affected by the cull and the majority of them were first added to PS Plus around a year or two ago.

However, one choice that has annoyed fans is Monster Hunter Rise which was added just six months ago.

This is especially disheartening as Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release in February 2025 and this would give fans the perfect opportunity to try the most recent entry in preparation.

Other big titles expected to leave are Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Judgment, Shadowrun Returns, Dragonfall, Hong Kong and Mortal Shell.

As for indie games, Metal: Hellsinger, Tinykin and The Pedestrian could face the chopping block.

Although all of these titles are mainly speculation, kayrakaanonline is rarely wrong so it is worth diving into these games now if you want to play before they leave.

Until then, we can look forward to some exciting titles arriving to PS Plus next month and let us hope that 2025 continues to bring us some more bangers at no extra cost.
