PlayStation Plus announces one final free game for September

What a way to end a month

PlayStation has announced the final free game coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers in September, and we have to say it’s a banger.

The State Of Play event just finished, giving us a taste of what’s to come from PlayStation over the next few months, including a remastered Horizon Zero Dawn, free Astro Bot DLC and our very first look at the next Ghost Of Tsushima game, all of which has been very exciting.

Check out the trailer for the next Ghost Of Tsushima game below, it's truly on another level

Also announced was the next few PlayStation Plus games joining the line-up, which included three great games and two classic ones for those subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium.

Forget all of that though, as PlayStation announced a surprise fourth game coming to the service, one of the best games currently on PS5, The Last Of Us Part 1.

This is the remake of the remaster for PlayStation 4 and will be offered up in its entirety for subscribers to celebrate The Last Of Us Day.

Previously the game could be played for a few hours as a trial, but now you’ll be able to enjoy it from start to finish at no additional cost.

If you haven’t played it yet and own a PS5, I’d urge you to give it a go, as even if you’re not keen on the gameplay right away the story is more than enough to carry you through to the end.

Who knows, if you enjoy it you could always move on to the slightly controversial sequel, or the live-action series which is quickly approaching its second season.

The Last Of Us Part 1 will arrive on PlayStation Plus towards the end of the month, and will be a must-play for those who haven’t finished it already, especially since it’ll be free, sort of.
