Three new classic titles are dropping on PlayStation Plus soon, and fans of FromSoftware titles such as Bloodborne and Elden Ring are definitely going to wanna check these new additions out.
Thank you in advance to VGC's Chris Scullion for the original report!
As revealed last night at Sony’s State of Play event, three of FromSoftware’s classic 90s titles will be landing on the service at some point in 2025.

Armored Core, Armored Core: Project Phantasma and Armored Core: Master of Arena were all announced for PlayStation Plus during the event, but the only real issue is that we have no idea exactly when they’ll drop.
We can only assume that they’re supposed to be available relatively soon, given that there’d really be no reason for Sony to advertise them too far ahead of time, so I’d wager that they’ll probably land at some point in early March (alongside the next PlayStation Plus Essential update).
If you’ve never gotten around to playing the Armored Core series and you’re slightly worried that the games might not have aged too well, then take it from me; I think even the earliest games in the franchise still hold up in 2025.
I went back to play the first two mainline games in the franchise back in 2023, prior to the release of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, and I was extremely surprised at how ahead of the time these games felt.

They’re not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and the control scheme might do your head in a little bit, but they’re still just as fun to play now as they were back in 1997.
Here’s hoping their inclusion on PlayStation Plus means that FromSoftware might consider a seventh Armored Core somewhere down the line, because Armored Core 6 still might be my personal GOTY of 2023.
