PlayStation gamers warned they've one month to grab classic game before it's gone forever

PlayStation gamers warned they've one month to grab classic game before it's gone forever

Sad to see it go, but you've still got time!

PlayStation users have been warned that a beloved game is being discontinued and delisted next month, so if you want the game and its DLC now’s the time to get it.

It’s a rare sight to see a game disappear from digital storefronts, as it only usually happens when the store itself is deleted, like earlier this year with the Xbox 360 marketplace.

The spooky season is upon us, are you playing the Silent Hill 2 remake to celebrate?

Unfortunately it does sometimes happen though, and a classic PlayStation title is the next to go next month.

The game is LittleBigPlanet 3, a delightful platformer first released on the PlayStation 4 in 2014, the third game to star PlayStation’s former mascot Sackboy, before Astro Bot came along and stole the show.

Recently the servers were taken offline, and it was announced the game will be getting removed from the PlayStation Store at the end of the month, 31 October, officially making it lost media.

Worry not though as you’ve still got time to purchase the game, and you can also purchase any or all of its DLC as well.

When the game goes offline anyone who purchased the game or DLC will still be able to access it, but if you miss your chance to add it to your library that’ll be that, it’ll be gone for good.

If you downloaded the game when it was offered as a free PlayStation Plus game, this counts as a purchase so you’ll still be able to access it when it’s gone.

For those who own the game it’s well-worth checking out the DLC if you haven’t already, as loads of packs were released featuring skins for Sackboy and his friends from several well-known gaming IPs.

You’ve not got long left to add LittleBigPlanet 3 to your library, as once it’s gone on 31 October 2024, it’s gone forever.
