Over recent months, Sony’s PlayStation Stars scheme has undergone quite a few changes, and none of them have been particularly good.
However, there is a small silver lining (at least for some members) courtesy of a recent post over on r/playstationstars.
Find out more about the loyalty scheme below!
First, let’s rewind a little bit.

PlayStation Stars is a free-to-join membership scheme which can see PlayStation owners previously earn points by taking part in different incentives.
These included playing games, buying them or taking on select challenges.
In turn, points could be saved up in order to exchange for free store credit which is the main goal of PS Stars.
However, 2024 has not been the best year for members as Sony has implemented a series of questionable changes.

PS Stars members will no longer be able to earn reward points after purchasing PS Plus subscriptions, nor will they be able to get free store credit as rewards.
Not only that but saving points is a thing of the past as points will now have an expiry date.
With many users questioning why they even use the service at all even more, one Reddit user has revealed one last chance to grab free store credit.
Found on the PS Stars app, players can scroll to the bottom of the rewards panel and exchange 2,500 points for a $10 gift card.

However, as with most PS Stars rewards, this will only be available for some members so it is worth checking.
With some members reporting the option to exchange points for $5, $10 or $20, there are seemingly no rules here but make sure you don’t miss out if you are eligible.
The future is looking uncertain for the PlayStation Stars loyalty scheme so it is worth using up all those accumulated points when you can.
