It’s that time of the month again folks. Sony is updating the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue, which means we’re getting new games (Yay!).
This also means some titles are leaving the service though (Boo!), and Sony has let us know ahead of time exactly which titles are on their way out.
A few choice titles are leaving the service on 20 August - including one of the best RPGs of the last couple of years.

Don't forget, Astro Bot launches next month.
The titles that are leaving are NBA 2k 24: Kobe Bryant Edition, Need For Speed Unbound, Destroy All Humans!, Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed, Spellforce 3 Reforced, Trials Of Mana, Lost Judgment, Moving Out 2, Midnight Fight Express, and (worst of all) Sea of Stars.
If you haven’t had a chance to play Sea of Stars yet, I recommend it above every other game that’s currently scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue.

It’s a charming and extremely fun little throwback to the Super Nintendo RPGs of the early 90s, and the reviews speak for themselves.
Sea of Stars is currently sitting at a 97% recommended score on OpenCritic and 87/100 for the PlayStation 5 version on Metacritic.
You’ve also got plenty of time left to play it, as the game is around 30 to 40 hours in length. More than doable with eight days left on the clock.
A couple of the other games that are leaving are more than worth checking out too, like the fun little puzzle/strategy hybrid Moving Out 2 and developer Humble Games take on the beat-em-up genre Midnight Fight Express.

Honestly though, if you can only play one of the games make sure it’s Sea of Stars. It’s a genuine shame it’s leaving, but hopefully the news of its departure will get a few more of you to give it a go.
