Sony and Santa Monica Studio have teamed up to offer PlayStation and Steam players some fun little freebies… and that’s somehow resulted in a bunch of whinging.
Thank you in advance to Push Square's Sammy Barker for the original source!
Tomorrow, the very first God of War game turns 20 years old. Naturally, this is a big milestone for the franchise. So, to celebrate, Santa Monica Studio has been rolling out some free stuff for players.

You can currently grab a free PlayStation Network Avatar featuring Kratos, some free items over on the Steam Points Shop, and you can even get some free "Dark Odyssey" armour sets in God of War Ragnarök.
That’s great! Right? Wrong, apparently, because some absolute crybabies on Twitter are mad that they didn’t get more.
Over on a Tweet from Santa Monica Studio’s official account announcing some of these freebies, several commenters are sour that there isn’t more stuff up for grabs.
“So much waiting for the 20th anniversary of God of war and they give us pure crap when they know very well that they had to remaster the entire Greek saga for PS5 they have no respect for their fans who support this saga since it came out,” commented user @BMWBRYAN_ADAMS.

“we don't care lol. This was disappointing as hell for the 20th anniversary I just can't sugar coat it,” replied user @MR_HAYS1.
“You guys make great games and I've been playing since GOW1 but everyone wants the old games at the very least ported to modern consoles.”
Firstly, chill out. You aren’t Bloodborne fans you little wimps, it hasn’t been ten years since your series got a new game. God of War Ragnarök came out less than two years ago. Put a lid on it, for god sake.
Secondly, good lord, you’re literally getting stuff for free and you’re still complaining? Is your life so devoid of excitement that this is genuinely a worthwhile use of your time?
