Don't miss out

PlayStation users can claim currency for in-store credit, if they can get PlayStation Stars working anyway…

The PlayStation Stars app has been experiencing some technical difficulties as of late, but if you can log into it you won’t want to miss out on the freebie.

Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree is available now! Check out our thoughts on the expansion below

Like every month there are a variety of new challenges to undertake, each one netting you a few points to redeem for various goodies, though the ones you’’ll be most interested in are the PlayStation Store gift cards.

The prerequisite to completing these challenges varies, but usually it involves playing certain games, many of which are included as part of your PlayStation Plus membership, like the ones we’re covering today.

Now PlayStation users can claim 75 points for playing superhero games, to celebrate the recent announcement that Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will be one of July’s free Essential tier titles.

The challenge’s description reads: “To celebrate the addition of Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, this month’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog must-play games are from the superhero genre. Play any of the ones below to get Points!”

In order to acquire the points you’ll have to play one of the following games: Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, Gotham Knights, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales, or GigaBash.

I’d personally recommend Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as the criminally underrated Gotham Knights, but they’re all decent in their own way.

Granted 75 points isn’t the most exciting amount, but there are plenty of other challenges to undertake and all the points add up eventually, so it’s worth doing when you can. Plus all you’re doing is playing games, it’s minimal effort really.

So if you can, make your way into the PlayStation Stars app and accept that challenge, the deadline is 30 July.
