We are only a few days into February and it’s worth taking a look at what PlayStation is up to, and how you can earned yourself some free store credit just by playing games.
If you’re not already familiar, PlayStation runs a scheme where you can earn a currency called ‘stars’ by playing different games and logging time spent. These stars add up and carry over monthly while allowing you to redeem them against exclusive digital trophies and content or store credit. It’s a great idea for those who play a variety of games and every once in a while you can grab a few quid to spend on a new game.

So, how can you earn stars in February? As it’s the month of love, you can earn 50 stars for playing one of a few different couch co-op games. Those included are:
- Moving Out 2
- Overcooked 2
- Untitled Goose Game
- Portal Knights
- Resogun
- Child of Light
You can also earn 50 stars for playing any of the games included free in February’s PlayStation Plus line-up, which includes Foamstars, the newest team-based shooter. These star points can be put toward any reward you fancy, but if you’re a digital trophy collector, Sony has some sweet designs to pick up this month.

Play any of the following, Detroit: Become Human, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, or Observer: System Redux, and you can earn a ‘Dusty Tome’ trophy. If you want to celebrate Lunar New Year you can play any game earning you two points and unlocking the ‘Red Envelope’ trophy. Lastly, to earn a digital ‘Stuffed Bear’ you will need to put some time into Saltsea Chronicles, Unpacking, or Spirit of the North.
There’s plenty to work towards this month for PlayStation fans, so get playing and redeeming.
