PlayStation fans currently have three versions of the PlayStation 5 to choose from, each one slightly better than the last, but they’re not ready for the PlayStation 6.
Mind you it’s still a world away by this point, but it hasn’t stopped Sony from teasing the console and what kind of power it’ll be packing.
Imagine what a sequel to The Last Of Us Part II would be like on the PS6…
There are going to be so many games to play, from The Last Of Us Part III, a new Horizon game, maybe even an Astro Bot sequel if we’re lucky…

That’s all yet to come though, but the PS5 Pro’s lead architect Mark Cerny recently gave a talk on the console, and even went as far as to hint what’s yet to come for the company.
Cerny spoke at length about the numerous improvements the PS5 Pro has over the base model, before saying “…I’d like to take a moment to do something we very rarely do, which is talk about the future.”
While the PlayStation 6 obviously wasn’t shown or discussed at length it was teased to be a far more powerful console that would use AI to improve graphic quality.
Now I don’t know where everyone stands on AI but I’m personally against the idea, even if it does assist developers in focusing on the gameplay rather than how pretty the water looks.

The PS5 Pro uses AI for its upscaling which is why even some of the PS4 games look better on the console despite not being upgraded for that system.
Whatever your opinion on AI though it’s unfortunately inevitable, as it’s clearly just too useful of a tool for designers and developers to ignore.
All we can do now is wait a few years until Sony is finally ready to unveil its next console, whenever that will be.
