PlayStation gamers are being warned to keep their PlayStation 5 consoles safe and healthy by keeping it away from harmful substances.
By harmful substances I don’t mean anyone’s pouring acid on their PlayStation consoles or anything like that, though if they did I don’t think that’d be covered under the warranty.
Home consoles like the PlayStation 5 Pro are expensive, so you better look after them
Recently a Reddit thread was created asking PS5 users if it’s safe to have your console in the same room you’re regularly smoking in.

Now what you do in the privacy of your own home is up to you but ideally you shouldn’t be smoking indoors at all.
If you need more of a reason to not do that aside from health and safety know that you could be damaging your very expensive gaming box by smoking near it.
One commenter stated “like your lungs it's not ideal to have anything but clean smoke-free air passing through it [PlayStation 5]”
Another pointed out that “smoking is just as bad for electronics as it is for humans. Maybe even worse” as any tar that builds up will simply stay there until you clean it, which can obviously cause issues.

Basically don’t do it as it can harm the internals of your console. Cosmetically it’s not good for it either as the smoke can yellow the plastic which wouldn't be good on your white PS5, and it’ll probably start to smell a bit as well.
Again what you do in the privacy of your own home is up to you but if you want to take care of your hardware try to keep it away from any smoke
The same can be said for keeping it in enclosed spaces, and allowing dust to build up excessively, all of which can cause issues if you’re not careful.
