If you want to play an upcoming open-world PlayStation RPG ahead of its full release for free, then you’re in the right place.
Moving away from its once exclusive mobile platform, Infinity Nikki will be the first game in the franchise to be released on consoles. Infinity Nikki will be hoping to garner the same level of success as its predecessors, Love Nikki-Dress Up Queen and Mr Love: Queen’s Choice which surpassed 100 million mobile players worldwide.

While it may be a tall ask for Infinity Nikki to have the same level of success as its mobile counterparts, being a free-to-play console game might work to its advantage similar to Genshin Impact. We should also expect the RPG to be filled with microtransaction incentives.

Other than it being dubbed as a “dress-up” RPG, it might be fair to say that Infinity Nikki is perhaps inspired by the open world of Breath of the Wild, with the life-sim charm of the indie darling, Stardew Valley.
Of course, we won't know for sure how the game plays until we get our hands on it but at the very least, we can say that Infinity Nikki looks visually impressive.
With that in mind, as reported by Push Square, if you want to find out if Infinity Nikki plays as well as it looks, registrations are now open to take part in its free technical test.
“Infinity Nikki PS5 Closed Technical Playtest Recruitment Begins,” tweeted the official Twitter account.

“Dear stylists, the dev team is planning a closed technical playtest on PS5,” the tweet continued. “This is a small-scale test, and stylists can apply by filling out the application questionnaire following the guidelines below.”
This will be the first Infinity Nikki technical test on PlayStation, following a successful test on PC and mobile devices. It will be interesting to learn how the console version performs during its early stage of development.
If you want to take part in the technical test, you need to act fast because registrations will close on 1 November 2024. It’s also worth keeping in mind that even when registered, your place in the test is not guaranteed and your progress will not carry over into the full game.
At the time of writing, Infinity Nikki does not have a release date. Hopefully, it will arrive on PC, PlayStation and mobile devices sometime in 2025.
