All this waiting has been frustrating, yet it’s kind of paid off now that a remaster has been confirmed.
But here’s the catch: it’s a God of War Ragnarök remaster.
Although there’s no end of fans for this acclaimed Norse adventure, it was hardly at the top of anyone’s remaster wishlist.
Yet, with the PS5 Pro on the way, Sony felt it was only right that we should be able to play an enhanced version of this adventure.

In truth, remastering this title is an obvious and rather safe choice.
Much like Horizon Zero Dawn, audiences want to see how much better these beloved characters can look with the help of the PS5 Pro's technology.
Still, for fans of Bloodborne, or even the original God of War, this feels like a cruel twist of fate they're forced to endure.
There is light at the end of the tunnel (maybe) for the God of War fandom though, because it would seem that a remastered collection of the classic games has leaked early.

However, while exciting news, this information doesn’t come directly from Sony. And you know what that means – we must remain cautious until official announcements are made.
Even if they never come, at least a God of War remaster is happening.
Sure, it’s not how we thought this would happen, but few things in life ever are.
