God Of War fans hyped for Kratos' return following new announcement

Boy, get excited

The God Of War franchise has hit a bit of a stalemate at the moment, as there are no new games in sight and we’ve already had DLC for God of War Ragnarök.

The only thing we do have is an upcoming TV series with Amazon Prime, and despite a few setbacks there’s hope it could rival the Fallout TV show in terms of quality.

Check out the Fallout TV series below, it adapted the games perfectly

It hasn’t been smooth sailing for the series, as it was delayed slightly when it lost its previous director, though it’s found a new one in Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ronald D. Moore.

Ronald D. Moore also ran the Star Trek: The Next Generation, so it seems like the God Of War show is in pretty safe hands.

Not much else is known about the TV series, other than it’ll follow the Kratos we know from God Of War 4 onwards, though it’s unclear if it’ll be an exact retelling of the game’s events or go in a different direction.

We also don’t know who’s going to be our live-action Kratos, with fans adamant they don’t want the likes of Dwayne Johnson in the role, and would rather see Christopher Judge take the responsibility, after all he did a fantastic job with the voice and motion capture performances for the games.

Unfortunately we’re getting a bit ahead of ourselves here, as a script and clear vision is going to be needed before a cast is selected, but as long as it stays true to the heart of the series we should be in for a good time.

In fact, it’s been a pretty stellar year for live-action video game adaptations, as Fallout was great, this God Of War update is promising, and the live-action Like A Dragon show also looks fantastic.
