Do you want to claim a free PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription? If so, then you’re in the right place, but there are a few catches.
Sony is no stranger to increasing the cost of its PlayStation Plus subscription service such as when in August 2023, a big increase left a lot of customers feeling unhappy with the quality of the service despite the price hike. Since that hike, Sony has introduced new perks such as free movies and cloud streaming but those perks are locked behind the more expensive Premier tier. So if we can save you some money on a 12-month PlayStation Plus subscription, then that’s a job well done.

However, the catch of getting the free PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription is being accepted for a PlayStation Visa credit card. The offer is only available to new PS Plus customers and it includes the Premium tier which offers a lot more bonus perks than the Essential and Premium tiers, such as the aforementioned free movies, cloud streaming as well as trials and more. It also grants you access to classic PlayStation games of a bygone era. It even includes major PlayStation exclusives like God of War Ragnarök, Horizon Forbidden West, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

The other catch is that you have to be a resident of the United States, Alaska or Hawaii and spend at least $600 within 60 days of being accepted for the credit card. The offer ends on 15 September 2024. I have to add, that while the offer of a free PlayStation Plus Premium 12-month subscription is a sweet deal, credit cards can get you in a financial mess if not careful.
If you take up this offer, I’d strongly recommend paying off any transactions as soon as possible to avoid any charges and a mounting bill. Then once you get your free PS Plus Premium 12-month subscription and your card payments are clear, get rid of the credit card to avoid temptation, and enjoy playing loads of free games.
