I know we urge you to try out a lot of new free games here at GAMINGbible, but it’s because we love you and want you to thrive in all your gaming endeavours. Today is another day where we point you in the direction of a stunning freebie that’s not to be missed.
Cyberpunk 2077 fans in particular will enjoy this action-shooter RPG, though I wager anyone with a love for fast-paced action will flock to this title as well. Praised for its “graphical achievement”, it’s high time this Curve Digital game gets the recognition it deserves.

What better way to do this, then, than to download and play the Ascent for free courtesy of PlayStation Plus? The service has undergone a transformation of late, with the dark months of its past seemingly forgotten as more “powerhouse” experiences are added to the service.

Even those who didn’t enjoy the game for its story admit that The Ascent is an aesthetic marvel, “I didn't end up liking this game but holy sh*t, does it look great,” shared one player. “It's kind of crazy how detailed everything is.”
We don’t like using the word “crazy” at GAMINGbible, but we appreciate the sentiment, with this particular gamer evidently blown away by how incredible the game looks. “If this [Reddit] screenshot seems impressive, the ENTIRE game is detailed like this, yet also every single inch of the game almost seems completely unique and handcrafted, without copy/pasting assets,” added another.

You can have a “blast” with The Ascent on the PS without the need to purchase it, though PC players can experience its visual delights via Steam, albeit for a fee of £24.99. Personally, we’d say that if you can play it for free, you really should – there’s a wealth of wonders waiting for you in the intricate details of the game.
The Ascent is available to play, both for free and via a standard purchase, on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam.
