It’s a fine time to be an Assassin’s Creed fan. Not only has a ridiculous number of instalments been launched, with more on the way, but there’s also a chance to play many of the games for free.
Up to 13 games are available for free right now, meaning there’s really no excuse to say you haven’t got anything to play. Better still, not only are the games free, but they won’t leave you underwhelmed like the Black Flag sequel.
How do you get these 13 freebies, we hear you ask – you simply need to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber. That’s it. That’s the “deal”. And before anyone says it, we’re aware that you have to pay for PS Plus, but given the fact you only pay a monthly payment instead of paying for each individual game, that does, technically, make these games free.

Thank you for attending our TEDTalk.
Anyone else as excited as us about Assassin's Creed Codename Red?
For the wanna be investigators amongst you, you may notice that there are only 12 AC titles listed as part of Sony’s subscription service. Don’t worry, we haven’t miscounted, this is because the underrated might of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is coming very soon to a PlayStation near you.

Among the 13 games is the iconic Black Flag, from which the franchise’s greatest protagonist heralds. Some players have even gone so far as to say Kenway is one of the best gaming leads of all time, and we’re inclined to agree.
Joining Kenway are the protagonists from Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and Assassin’s Creed Unity, to name but a few. Of course, if you crave an altogether different adventure, a new one has emerged which promises to deliver a wholly different experience to what fans are accustomed to.
As we mentioned earlier, it really is a fantastic time to be an Assassin’s Creed fan right now.
