With over 13 main games in the franchise, some Assassin’s Creed titles tend to be more underrated than others. That is definitely the case for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which is currently free to download, no strings attached.

First released in 2015, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate took the Ubisoft franchise to Victorian England and had players meet twin assassins, Evie and Jacob Frye. Featuring well-known historical figures such as Alexander Graham Bell, Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, Queen Victoria and Karl Marx, it was another informative look into the past. With a bit of assassination sprinkled throughout.

Take a look at the latest Assassin's Creed Mirage below!

Despite being an excellent game in its own right and currently sitting at a “mostly positive” rating on Steam, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate tends to get overlooked by more popular titles in the series such as Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and the Ezio Trilogy. Although that is understandable, Syndicate is still a unique spin on the franchise by allowing players to switch between the twins at will.

As a way to boost its popularity, Ubisoft are currently giving players the chance to download Assassin’s Creed Syndicate for free. The deal will run from 27 November to 6 December and once downloaded, you will be able to play it at any time. The only requirement is being a PC user and connecting to Ubisoft Connect.

With an estimated play time of 18.5 hours for the main story and a whopping 33.5 hours to complete the game fully, it is worth getting your hands on. As well as your usual goal of taking down those pesky templars, you will also get to play with the twin’s unique combat abilities as well as taking part in the occasional underground fighting scene.

In related news, you can play a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate which breathes even more life into the Victorian AAA title.
