The Witcher 3 looks like a damn PlayStation 6 game in this stunning graphics overhaul

What kind of Witcher 3 wizardry is this?

Many would consider CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to not only be one of the greatest RPGs of all time but also one of the greatest video games that was ever made across all genres.

On Metacritic, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has garnered a score of 93 on PC, earning the “Must-Play” accolade further solidifying it as an all-time great. What’s more, its expansions - Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine - were equally as well-received, setting the standard of what is expected of AAA expansions.

Check out The Witcher 3 next-gen trailer below!

“You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stand on a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world,” reads the synopsis of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

After much anticipation, CD Projekt RED released the free next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in December 2022. This update not only improved the visuals and performance, but it upgraded the gameplay and brought new quests, items and much more. For a free update, CD Projekt RED brought the generosity, and then some.

On top-end PCs comes a wealth of versatility, especially when it comes to mods with its community bringing new life to the video games that we love. What’s more, on high-end PCs, you can also experience the best version of a game possible and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is no exception, which brings us to today’s topic of discussion.

One such example of playing the best version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is courtesy of the YouTube channel RTXGameplays. A video of the popular CDPR fantasy RPG was uploaded to the channel which makes use of RTX 4090 GPU running on maximum settings with glorious ray tracing visuals, a 4K resolution as well as a super smooth frame rate. It really is a joy to behold and we imagine that this gameplay wouldn't look out of place if this was a PlayStation 6 port.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
