It likely won’t come as a surprise to you when I say that The Witcher 4 is many years away from releasing.
Despite being announced back in 2022, The Witcher 4 has only just entered full development after a lengthy pre-production phase.
With that in mind, it’s unlikely we’ll see the game launch before 2028.

I should add that The Witcher 4 is a colloquial title as officially, it’s simply the next instalment in The Witcher series.
What we do know is the game will follow on from The Witcher 3, albeit with a new protagonist who’ll kickstart a new trilogy.
Luckily for us, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt boasts a vibrant modding community so there’s always something out there that injects new life into the game - especially since the launch of the REDkit tools.
And today, it’s The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project that I want to highlight.

ICYMI: Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will land at the end of October.
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project is the work of YouTuber Halk Hogan.

Yes, you’re correct. It did, but that doesn’t mean the game can’t be further improved.
Halk Hogan has painstakingly reworked the game’s textures, replacing them with higher-quality alternatives.
“There are hundreds of improvements and fixes aimed at making the game look more detailed, realistic, consistent, and best reflect the atmosphere of The Witcher world,” the creator wrote.
You can take a look at the mod in action below via a number of before and after comparisons - and it's clear to see the difference.
I already thought that The Witcher 3 looked fantastic but now I’m seeing just how much room for improvement there was.
