While the wait for The Elder Scrolls VI may be long and arduous, you could make it a tiny bit more bearable by checking out this incredible fan project which sees Daggerfall’s main quest faithfully remade in Skyrim.
Bethesda may have announced The Elder Scrolls VI ages ago but it’s no secret that Starfield has very much been the key focus the last few years. It remains so now with the Shattered Space expansion set to land later this year alongside community-requested features like city maps. When the focus does officially shift away from Starfield, it’ll be full steam ahead on The Elder Scrolls VI. Sorry for those of you who are waiting on Fallout 5. Bethesda isn’t exactly a studio known for its quick turnaround times but there are plenty of ways that you can overhaul Skyrim to pacify yourself whilst we await the next franchise entry.

The Skygerfall mod has been around for some time now, so you may have already sampled it. If you haven’t though, then it’s oh so very lucky that you ended up here reading this recommendation. Created by NexusMods user Oracus0, Skygerfall is exactly what it sounds like. The worlds of Daggerfall and Skyrim collide together.

“This is an alternate start mod where you can play through the entire main quest of TESII: Daggerfall in the TESV engine, at the end of which you can choose to continue your character's adventures in Skyrim, taking all your loot, experience and new spells with you! It is now listed under Quests and Adventures, since there is no New Lands category,” reads the description. The creator spent over two years putting this mod together with the end product essentially being the size of a full DLC.
The Skyrim modding community is easily one of the best out there. If you have sampled Skygerfall, you may want to check out Skyrim: Calling The Watchmaker or keep an eye on the upcoming Skyrim: Lordbound instead.
