Stardew Valley is without a doubt one of the cosiest games that’s ever been. It’s just a shame it can’t last forever…or can it?
Actual updates for the game are still ongoing and it’s unclear when they’ll stop, so enjoy that support while you can because eventually in the far future, the game will assumedly be left behind.
If you haven’t tried it yet and want a laid-back game to vibe with over Christmas, I’d recommend you give it a go, here’s a look at the game below.
Fear not though as Stardew Valley is very supportive of mods, and while some act as little quality-of-life improvements or changes to the way the game functions, there are several mods out there that’ll extend the lifespan of the game.

One such mod adds a brand-new farm for you to manage, called Sunblossom Farm. It’s a mod that’s free to download from NexusMods right now and it’s well-worth picking up if you’re not satisfied with your current farm type.
The farm acts in the same way as your usual one does and will change naturally with the different seasons.
There isn’t a town to explore with this one so its purpose is just giving you a blank canvas to mess around with if you fancy starting over but don’t want to start a new save file.
That said whenever a new official update rolls around, it is encouraged to start from scratch for the best possible experience, a difficult task especially when you put so much work in your farm and relationships with the characters.

It’s like deleting your Animal Crossing world, it feels like you’re committing a grievous sin that you’ll never be able to overcome, or maybe that’s a tad dramatic…
Either way, if you’re getting bored with your current playthrough of Stardew Valley and fancy giving a new farm a go, this is the mod for you.
If not, there are plenty of other mods out there to try instead.
