Throughout the world of Skyrim, there are countless NPCs that you will meet along the way who you wish you could spend more time with.

However, with Bethesda’s open-world RPG being so expansive, it makes sense that there are just some characters in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim who we will never learn more about.

Experience the nostalgia with the launch trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim below!

Or will we?

Thanks to the dedication of one creator over on Nexus Mods, one otherwise unknown NPC now has both a voice and a story.

Created by MadAborModding, Redeeming Fultheim is a free-to-download mod which adds 90+ new dialogue lines for Delphine, Esbern, and Fultheim as well as a short, fully voiced quest with two possible endings.

A Nord who you can find at the Nightgate Inn, Fultheim is a possessor of a Blades Sword but reveals himself to not even be a part of the former protectors of the Emperors of Tamriel.

Now destined to “drink away a life of regrets”, Fultheim remains something of an enigma during the events of Skyrim but thanks to this mod, we can now learn his backstory and even see him become a fully-fledged member of the Blades.

Now striking up a conversation with Fultheim about his sword will trigger the A Forgotten Blade quest line which, in turn, will lead to the possibility of helping the Nord remember his past and return to the Blades.

To do this, you can choose to appeal to his sense of honour or his thirst for revenge which will lead the quest line in two very different directions.

You can get a teaser for Redeeming Fultheim in an accompanying Youtube video which one Skyrim fan is seemingly very happy about.

“Very cool, man. Always love to see lesser known or forgotten vanilla characters get some attention,” the comment read.

Since the mod was uploaded just over a week ago, it has already gone on to receive 14,000+ unique downloads so this is definitely the Skyrim quest to check out if you are eager for more of the epic fantasy world.
