The Elder Scrolls VI may feel like a fever dream, but I assure you that it’s very real and remains in development.
It was six years ago that Bethesda first confirmed the game’s existence.
What updates have followed in those six years? Well, none really.

It’s believed that an early build is now playable internally but it’s been practically radio silence in terms of official communications on the game.
Instead, Bethesda is keeping the focus on Starfield for now.
The 2023 title will soon welcome its first story expansion, Shattered Space, seemingly set to be followed by another next year.
Another major update is also in the works that’ll see drivable vehicles added.

With that in mind, it’s going to be quite some time until Bethesda is ready to share an update on The Elder Scrolls VI.
You can give Skyrim a graphics boost in the meantime though.

There’s always something that brings us back to Skyrim. That’s even more true for those of you on PC who can truly make the most of the game’s stellar modding community.

One fan who’s done just that is YouTuber Digital Dreams who has transformed the game with over 3,100 mods, making it look more like The Elder Scrolls VI than Skyrim.
Digital Dreams is running the game on an RTX 4090, achieving 4K / 60fps, so you will need some high-end hardware if you want to replicate this impressive feat.
Otherwise, your computer may be groaning under the intensity of your ambition.

For those who are up for the challenge. Digital Dreams provides both a ReShade preset and mod list in the video’s description.
“Always exciting to see new Skyrim footage! I think this is where the art of modding really shines,” wrote one viewer.
“Absolutely stunning graphics, looks truly life-like,” added another.
Happy modding!
