Skyrim next-gen overhaul looks better than real life, fans agree

Skyrim next-gen overhaul looks better than real life, fans agree

We'll take it over real life, thanks

The power Skyrim wields needs to be studied.

Despite the Bethesda game now being 13 years old, gamers are still in love with the fantasy RPG.

Some of our unwavering attention could be due to a significant lack of Elder Scrolls VI details, but that’s a story for another day.

However you choose to play Skyrim – modded or vanilla – the most important thing is to keep on playing it.

That said, if your PC can handle it, you might want to check out this next-gen graphical overhaul.

Come on, this version of Skyrim is breathtakingly pretty

“Looks better than our world,” remarked @Thedesertguy75.

You see, we weren’t over exaggerating by saying that this version of Skyrim looks better than real life.

“My dream is that one day I get a PC that can run Skyrim looking like this at 60frames,” commented @prizrak636.

It isn’t just how beautiful this next-gen overhaul looks that has fans so taken with it, it’s also the fact that we’re still “modding tf” out of this RPG.

Skyrim fan @jamess.2491 mused, “Here we are 13 years later still modding tf out of this game. The memories man...”

This fine example of what’s possible, combined with a huge expansion seven years in the making, continues to highlight just how versatile the title is.

We already know that our PC will struggle to handle this visual upgrade, but maybe yours will fare better.

In case you’re curious, the modlist is included within the captain of the video.

The Elder Scrolls VI, while recently teased in a Skyrim 13th anniversary post, is far from ready to launch.

As a result, we’ll keep coming back to Skyrim to take down dragons, join questionable factions, and generally cause mayhem wherever we go.

‘Tis the life of an adventurer.
